Project - Gladesville

AEGIS Consulting Engineers + Project Managers were engaged to deliver the full façade design, provide engineering oversight, and act as Superintendent for the combustible cladding replacement on this multi-storey mixed-use Class 2 building.

This significant project involved residential apartments, commercial tenancies and multi-level basement parking — requiring a coordinated, compliant and carefully staged remediation approach.

🔧 Our role included:
• Full façade design, including cladding system specification, subframe detailing and weatherproofing solutions
• Engineering oversight throughout demolition, remediation and installation stages
• Superintendent responsibilities, including contract administration and project governance under the DBP framework
• Coordinating design, assurance, construction and stakeholder communication
• Monitoring compliance with safety, fire performance, installation standards and NCC requirements
• Attending site for hold points, inspections and technical verification
• Responding to RFIs, latent condition queries and construction issues

🏗️ Scope of works:
• Removal of non-compliant ACP cladding
• Subframe remediation and corrosion correction
• Integration of compliant fire barriers and weatherproofing
• Installation of a certified non-combustible façade system (Vitradual 3mm solid aluminium)
• Architectural reinstatement consistent with the original façade intent

The result:
A fully compliant, safe and durable façade delivered to the standards required under Project Remediate and the DBP Act — enhancing fire safety, improving weather performance and preserving the building’s visual identity.
