BCA Reports
A BCA report is a Building Code of Australia compliance report.
In plain terms, it is a formal technical document that assesses whether a building or a specific building element complies with the Building Code of Australia, which now sits inside the National Construction Code (NCC) and is administered by the Australian Building Codes Board.
What a BCA report usually covers
A BCA report can be broad or very targeted, depending on why it is prepared. Common scopes include:
Classification of the building
Class 1, 2, 3, etc and any mixed use issues
Applicable NCC provisions
Performance Requirements and Deemed to Satisfy clauses that apply to the building
