Innovation and Impact in Practice Pitch Night

It was a pleasure to spend the evening as a guest judge alongside Amanda Winks, CEO of The Housing Trust, and John Kerr, iAccelerate Program Manager, at the University of Wollongong's UOW200: Innovation and Impact in Practice Pitch Night.

It was inspiring to see students tackling some of the biggest challenges facing our communities, including housing affordability, limited housing supply, modular construction, safe and accessible housing, accommodation for students relocating to study, and the impact of short-term rentals on local housing availability.

As Director and Principal Engineer of AEGIS, it was particularly rewarding to come back to a program that played an important role in our own journey. AEGIS was founded through the University of Wollongong's iAccelerate Business Incubator, so it was great to return and support the next generation of entrepreneurs and innovators.

Congratulations to all the students who presented. The quality of ideas, passion, and commitment on display was outstanding, and the future is in good hands.
