Project - Narrabundah

AEGIS Consulting Engineers + Project Managers have been engaged as the lead Structural Engineers for critical remedial works at Narrabundah, Canberra ACT. This project addresses structural concerns in a Class 2 basement car park, including punching shear failure and excessive deflection of the existing RC slab and band beams.

Our scope of work includes:

• Detailed site inspection and structural assessment of slab and columns.

• Temporary propping design and coordination to ensure site safety.

• Engineering and oversight of:

  • Shear strengthening

  • Flexural strengthening using carbon fibre to improve capacity.

• Surface prep and coating for new and existing steel elements.

• Managing site access, safety, and waste per ACT construction guidelines.

Works are currently progressing on-site, with a focus on structural safety, long-term durability, and minimal disruption to residents. Our team remains committed to delivering a robust and code-compliant solution for the building’s long-term performance.
