Project - Haymarket
AEGIS Consulting Engineers + Project Managers were appointed as the Superintendent for the replacement of combustible cladding on a twenty-four lot residential building under the NSW Government’s Project Remediate – a voluntary program supporting eligible Class 2 buildings requiring flammable cladding rectification.
In this role, AEGIS acted as the primary communication channel between all key stakeholders — including the design consultants, independent assurer, remediation contractor, managing contractor, and the Owners Corporation — ensuring alignment, continuity, and effective coordination throughout the project.
🔧 Our role included:
Coordinating design, assurance, and construction activities
Overseeing contract administration in accordance with Project Remediate requirements
Monitoring compliance with safety, performance, and installation standards
Managing site attendances and facilitating stakeholder communication
Responding to project issues, RFIs, and technical queries to maintain project momentum
⚠️ Project challenges included:
Prominent location of the building, requiring heightened planning and public-facing stakeholder management
Commercial tenancy trading hours, necessitating carefully staged works to minimise disruption
Supply chain delays, impacting procurement and material availability for approved cladding systems
The building’s role as part of a Building Management Committee (BMC), requiring additional coordination, approvals, and communication pathways
Despite these complexities, AEGIS ensured consistent progress through diligent communication, contract enforcement, and coordinated stakeholder action.
✅ The result:
A high-quality cladding replacement delivered in full compliance with Project Remediate standards — meeting aesthetic expectations while achieving long-term fire safety and durability outcomes. Positive feedback from all parties reflected the structured, reliable, and transparent remediation management provided throughout the project.
Another example of AEGIS delivering strong superintendent leadership and DBP-aligned remediation expertise.
