Project Remediate

Cladding Replacement for the NSW Building Commissioner’s Office

AEGIS was appointed as Superintendent for the remediation of twelve large Class 2 residential buildings across NSW under the NSW Government’s Project Remediate program. This key state initiative was launched in response to the Grenfell Tower tragedy to address fire safety risks from combustible cladding.

In this role, AEGIS has overseen the safe removal and replacement of non compliant cladding systems, ensured full compliance with the National Construction Code and current fire safety standards, and acted as an independent liaison between building owners, contractors, consultants and government stakeholders.

A number of these projects have been successfully completed, while several others are significantly progressed. The program is delivering safer, code compliant buildings, upgraded fire systems and strengthened public confidence in building safety. Through this work, AEGIS continues to lead façade remediation projects across both the public and private sectors throughout New South Wales.
