Duplex Design

AEGIS Consulting Engineers + Project Managers was appointed to provide structural and civil engineering design services for a proposed duplex development.

Our role included:
Design of the raft slab and footings for the proposed duplex development
Structural design of a retaining wall to the lower level
Design of structural steel beams for alfresco openings, balcony areas, living and dining spaces, garage door lintels, carports, and courtyards
Preparation of building over/adjacent to sewer details where required
Site inspections throughout the design process to verify existing conditions and construction requirements

The project required careful coordination of structural elements to ensure the proposed development achieved the desired architectural outcomes while maintaining compliance with relevant Australian Standards and engineering requirements.

Overall, the project has resulted in a practical and efficient structural solution, providing the client with a coordinated design package to support construction and approval processes.
