AEGIS Consulting Engineers + Project Managers was appointed as Engineering Consultants and Superintendent for remedial works at Market Street, involving civil, structural, cladding, and waterproofing upgrades, along with roof drainage and guttering improvements.

Our role included:

  • Design coordination and technical oversight of roof replacement works, including new sheets, insulation, and gutters

  • Waterproofing remediation and fire stair access compliance upgrades

  • Façade crack repairs and repainting to the northern elevation

  • Review and management of construction variations, cost verification, and compliance

  • Superintendent services throughout construction, including site inspections, coordination, and certification of practical completion

Project challenges:

  • Stormwater drainage requirements during live roof works

  • Insulation performance compliance within constrained roof space

  • Crane operations and traffic control for material handling
