Creek Bank Stabilisation

AEGIS was appointed as the lead Civil and Structural Engineering Consultants for critical slope stabilisation and underpinning works at a residential complex in Woonona, NSW. The project addressed long-standing geotechnical and structural risks that had been threatening the integrity of multiple townhouse units within the complex.

Our team commenced with a detailed site inspection and assessment to identify the extent of slope movement and building settlement. From these findings, we developed a comprehensive Scope of Works and designed a tailored solution involving polyurethane resin underpinning to stabilise the affected buildings.

An access strategy was prepared to enable the works, which included securing permits from Transport NSW and local authorities. Environmental and safety controls were implemented in full compliance with SEPP requirements, ensuring the project met strict regulatory standards. The works also included the design and supervision of slope stabilisation measures, incorporating utilities location, footing works, and the installation of long-term embankment protection. 

Throughout the project, AEGIS maintained ongoing liaison with all stakeholders and ensured compliance with all applicable codes and standards. The result was a fully stabilised slope and foundation system, delivering long-term structural integrity and improved safety for residents, achieved with minimal disruption and the highest level of care.
