Project - The Osborne

AEGIS Engineering was engaged to investigate and manage remediation works at Osborne Street, following reports of cracking in a Unit suspected to be linked to roof issues.

Our role included:

  • Preparation of an engineer’s report, detailed scope of works, tender and construction management.

  • Roof inspection, which identified deflecting and splitting collar ties.

  • Design of a roof strengthening solution, including lapping of collar ties.

  • During construction, discovery of a non-compliant stormwater system led to the design and installation of a new compliant roof stormwater system, connected to the existing ground infrastructure.

✅ The result:

  • Structural roof strengthening to restore stability.

  • A fully compliant stormwater system upgrade.

  • Works delivered within a challenging timeframe of 2.5 months of construction access, despite significant delays caused by weather and restricted access to the inside Units and complex stakeholder management.

This project is a strong example of AEGIS providing practical, compliant, and effective engineering solutions, even under difficult site and stakeholder conditions.
